Where are the machines manufactured?

In the Meiko factory in Offenburg, Germany

 

Is Meiko a new company or an established company?

Meiko Maschinenbau GmbH was founded in 1927 in Offenburg. 

 

Is there a charge for delivery?

Delivery of a machine to customers premises is included within the machine selling price. For accessories delivered along with the machine there will be no additional charges applied. If ordered separately, then nominal delivery charges will apply

 

Do I have to unload from delivery transport?

No, the goods will be delivered by the Meiko UK partner transport contractor and they will take the machine from the vehicle, move it into the building at ground level and clear away the pallet and packaging.

 

Who will install the machine?

Meiko UK technical services will install your machine, but at additional cost. Refer to the installation tab above. You can use your preferred kitchen installer, however we should be contacted to commission the machine otherwise your manufacturer’s warranty may be at risk

 

If I have a query about the order, before or after delivery then who do I contact?

Call our sales office on 01753 215120 and you will be forwarded to our sales order processing department.

 

What warranty is provided with the machines?

All machines offered come with a 2 year parts and labour warranty as standard. Additional warranty for up to a further 3 years can be purchased at time of order at additional cost.

 

In the event of machine breakdown who do I contact?

The Meiko UK in-house technical services department is open 7 days a week for call reporting, with the exception of Christmas day and New Year’s day. Direct line into our technical services department is 01753 215130 or you can place a service call request at [email protected]

 

What are the opening hours of the service department?

Monday to Friday 8.00am through until 6.00pm, weekends and public holidays 8.00am through until 1.00pm. Out of hours a telephone answering and response service operates.

 

Will it be a Meiko service engineer or third party contractor that attends the call?

It will be a directly employed Meiko service engineer that attends the call in a Meiko liveried service van kitted out with extensive spare parts stock to effect a first time fix.

 

Can I order other types of equipment from Meiko?

We are a specialist ware washing manufacturer and supplier and unlike most our competitors do not offer other types of catering equipment. You can find details on ENSE member distributors who can provide a wide range of catering equipment by clicking on the distributor tab above.

 

How long will delivery take?

Delivery of individual machines is 3 working days from receipt of payment. If you have ordered tabling this will be longer, please contact [email protected] for further details and anticipated delivery time.

 

Do you deliver at weekends?

Prices allow for delivery to a UK mainland site during weekday working hours of 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Weekend or timed deliveries can be arranged, but at additional cost.

 

Do you deliver outside of the UK?

We do not deliver outside of the UK with the exception of  Southern Ireland. Machines shipped by the customer outside of the UK mainland will not be covered for on-going warranty

 

Do you deliver to Ireland?

Yes, we can arrange delivery to Northern or Southern Ireland, but there will be a charge associated with the transport and ferry costs.


How do I track my order?

You can track your order by emailing [email protected] or calling 01753 215120 where you will be passed to one of sales order processing team.

 

How can I pay?

We accept Visa debit and credit cards, Mastercard and Switch Maestro only. Please note that prices on the site automatically display excluding VAT. VAT will be added at the current rate and will be shown on your final order.

 

Will I receive a receipt?

Upon receipt of your order and cleared payment you will be provided with an order acknowledgement. This will be followed by a VAT invoice once goods have been shipped.
